Most of the mold materials used in investment casting processes in my country are paraffin wax-stearic acid low-temperature mold materials made by investment casting. Its quality is low, the cost is high, and it seriously affects the improvement of casting quality, and the produced castings are less competitive in the international market.

However, many investment casting factories in my country hope to produce castings for export. To export castings, it is necessary to improve the quality of castings. Therefore, on the one hand, advanced investment casting equipment is required, and on the other hand, high-quality mold materials are required. Obviously, the self-sufficient mold material production method of investment casting plants is difficult to produce high-quality mold materials, so this situation is in contradiction with modern mass production.

With the development of investment casting process, it has not only developed from the initially used paraffin rosin-based low-temperature mold material to the paraffin resin-based multi-component mold material, but also showed a trend of multi-variety and serialization. In particular, the development of synthetic polymer industry has provided many optional additives for compounding model wax with excellent performance.
